What is Human Life?

Before going deep into the subject of human sex and desire, it is very necessary that we should know all about human life and its ambiguous nature. Human life is an unique picture of pain and happiness, full of dreams including power, glory and dignity. Life is a walking shadow which is full of sounds and fury till death. But painfully it is fact that those dreams are never materialized in one life alone. Human life is also mysterious, hazardous and full of accidents and realism. Life is a big dramatic stage where the people play their respective roles and then exist for good. But still then life is very interesting within the short span of time. At a certain period, it becomes significant and critically beautiful when boys and girls become adolescents and attain puberty and seminal.

Definition of Sex :

The state of being either male or female or all males or all females, are considered as one group. Sexual activity involving or experiencing pleasurable feelings in one’s body usually centered in the main organs of both male and female. The twentieth century has seen enormous changes in our knowledge and attitudes about sex.

But What is Sex?

Oxford dictionary has defined sex as follows : Either of the main divisions (male or female) into which living things are placed on the basis of their reproductive functions. The social scientists all over the world look into this complicated subject in different ways. They believe the sex is a very natural and healthy part of human life. Sexuality includes physical, ethical, psychological, spiritual and emotional dimensions. As a matter of fact sex influences people’s whole life either male or female. Every aspect of our personal, social and cultural life is obviously and greatly affected by gender. Sexuality is a central part of human lives. It relates strongly to our behavior, interactions with one another, decisions and our social environment.

Sexuality is more than what a person does with another person sexually. It means, sexuality is not only about having sex, but it is also a great feelings of the body of the young boys or girls, man or woman, the way a person dress, move and speak, the way he or she acts and feel about other persons till the period of the whole life. In concise, sexuality is a natural and healthy part of human life from the birth till death. Everyone has his / her own way of being or feeling sexual. In fact., it is regarded fine if a male or female choose to wait till the period of attainment of their adulthood and going for protected and safe sexual relationship with other person.

The social scientists have examined and determined that during sexual intercourse the entire body of both the male and female started throbbing and pulsating like anything for extreme sensation and that the behavioral change is also located during orgasm. The change and sensation of the body goes like this:-

  1. Male Female
  2. Blood pressure 220 mm 175 to 200 mm
  3. Heartbeat 180 p.m 175 p.m (Normal 75-80 per minute)
  4. Breathing rate Both of them may take 40 breaths per minute twice the normal rate.

After attainment of puberty, specially the girls who feels very ashamed of this, later an describe sex in different manners and attitude. They generally perceive sex as too "private" and "sensitive" during the course of time.

"I felt nobody loved me and nobody cared about me. I was looking for love which I did not get at home from my parents. Untill a man come into my life caring and touching me, a touch something else—— I can not explain, ..........I did not get it from my mother ...............I10 kissing .......no hugs, no———nothing".ing".

The social construction of sexuality is inevitably linked with cultural concepts of masculinity and femininity. Obviously they are inter-locking domains. Ideas about what constitutes the essence of ‘`maleness" and "femaleness" are expressed in sexual norms and ideologies.

" I know my body better. 1 feel more in touch with my body and its functions. Now I know what’s going on with me at various times of the month".

(Wasa a girl of 19-years.) Harris. E. 1993 Canada.

Sex in The Open:

A major change in the current century is that sex is now out in the open. Probably never before has sex been so openly displayed and publicly discussed as it is today. At the sametime, sex and sexuality are being redefined and re-evaluated so that the range of acceptable sexual expression is expanding. However, what has arisen to challenge the freedom gained over the past two decades is the rapidly spreading killing diseases i.e. sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV all over the world. No one is safe from HIV, passed on through sex or blood contact, it can threat men, women and even the children. Sexual patterns have developed and changed thoroughly in the present century in all aspects. Sex today is truly out in the open. Explicitly sexuality and eroticism are increasingly seen in all forms of social entertainment i.e. in theater, cinema, television and magazines. Modern advertising also makes much use of sexual imagery as an incentive to buy. The "watershed" of puberty is reached when girls start ovulating and boys producing sperm.

Sexual Behavior

Concept of sexual identity refers to one’s sexual orientation and way of life, self-image, sense of personal unity and commitment, sexual and social attraction and activities. It is important to remember that sexual behaviors or acts should not be the only criterion for determining one’s sexual identity.

By the term sexual behavior, it is commonly understood that sexual activities or practices which are physical in nature that a person performs with others or with him or her. But in a more complete sense sexual behaviors also include a person’s way or art of talking, clothing and all other aspects of presenting self to others and to the society. Perhaps in early of twentieth century, sexual behaviors of adolescents, young men, girls and even elder people have become radically changed. Sexual behaviors relate and vary person to person as shown hereunder for better understanding :-

  1. Bisexual :

A person who may be attracted to or could fall in love with both a person of the same or the other sex. In other words, a bisexual person enjoys and engages in sexual activities with members of both sexes or some people include the expression of desire to do that. People may not define themselves as bisexual but in practice they may have sexual relations with members of both sex. People may have stronger attraction toward one gender than the other, but still engage in sexual activities with both genders. It is commonly seen in different studies that bisexuality is more a behavior than an identity.

  2. Heterosexual :

A male or female who is sexually attracted to or could fall in love with a person of the other sex. Heterosexuality should not be considered by sexual behaviors alone. In all cultures, heterosexuality is accepted as normal and natural sexual behaviors.

  3. Homosexual :

A person who is sexually attracted to or could fall in love with a person of the same sex Generally homosexuality means sexual activities among the members of the same sex. But there is a changing perception. A person may identify himself as homosexual without having any experience of male to male sex. Homosexual men are called Gay and the women are called Lesbian.

  4. Transsexual :

A person who feels he or she is really the other sex or gender trapped in the wrong body and may have had an operation to change his or her gender.

  5. Transvestite :

A person who practices of wearing the clothes of the opposite sex especially for sexual stimulus.

Sexual Health:

In human life, sexual health plays a very important role in every spheres of life. Many people ignore it for their ignorance and get trapped with danger. Generally sexual health aims at: -

Sex and Diseases :

Safe play or safe sex are equal in nature and regarded to be the most desirable phenomena and customs all over the world. Unsafe or unprotected sexual pleasure and all type of diseases like Human Inununodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STD) are closely inter-connected. STDs include diseases such as gonorrhea, syphilis and herpes. These diseases spread easily by sexual touch with any of the body which carries the infection, such as the penis, vagina, anus and the mouth. Generally there are 3-ways that a male or female having HIV positive to spread the virus in the body of other person provided neither condom is used nor other protective measures are adopted. These 3-ways are :-

Social scientists are of opinion that sexual intercourses are often done in 3-ways. The types are vaginal, anal and oral. People with proper education and culture should avoid all types of unprotected sexual intercourse (USI). Because it not only invites sTDs, but it is equally dangerous to be infected with HIV. This is a very fragile virus that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AmS).

HIV is Generally Spreaded From One Body To Another By The Following Ways:-

It is interesting to note here that an MV-positive person (male or female) may not look sick and different from persons who do not have this virus. One person (male or female) might be young, cute and healthy-looking but even know having HIV-positive. That person will surely infect his or her sexual partner, whether that partner is heterosexual gay, lesbian or bisexual, as the case may be. A male or female having such infection shall not feel bad for about 10-years or less. During this period, the person concerned shall lose the total immunity of his whole body and consequently become patient of AID, the deadly and fearful disease of the world.
